Scottish Government learns about skill ecosystem

The Australian innovations of skill ecosystem and skill formation strategies were explored at length by the Scottish Government in December 2008.
Australian representatives from the NSW Department of Education and Training and the Queensland Department of Education, Training and the Arts were invited to speak at a number of forums and to meet with Scottish Government education, training and industry development officials during a two week stay.
Caroline Alcorso (NSW DET), Noela Eddington (QLD DETA) and Kim Windsor (consultant) participated in the trip.
Caroline presented a paper entitledThe skill ecosystem approach to engaging employers in skill formation to the Scottish Forum on Skill Utilisation and Succesful Skills Strategies, hosted by the Centre for Research on Lifelong Learning (Caledonian and Stirling Universities.
