Skills in context: a guide to the skill ecosystem approach

17 June 2008

The new skill ecosystem guide outlines the key features of the approach, based on the experiences of industry groups and their partners over the last five years.

Matt Davies, Department of Employment, Education and Workplace Relations, launched Skills in context: A guide to the skill ecosystem approach to workforce development at the New Directions in Skills Policy and Practice conference on 26 May 2008.

The Guide was co-written by Kim Windsor, Windsor and Associates and Caroline Alcorso, State Training Services, NSW Department of Education and Training, as part of the skill ecosystem communication strategy.

It is designed for use by government bodies which are embracing workforce development, as well as for industry and regional organisations considering whether the skill ecosystem model of workforce development might be a useful one for them to pursue.

Trainers and training organisations interested in deepening their partnerships with industry around skills development will also find the guide relevant to their work.

Download the Guide or contact Daniel Zeng for a hard copy. Note the Guide may take a minute or two to download.
