NSW DET Conference: New Directions in Skills Policy and Practice

This conference examined skills and training in their workplace context and showcased learnings from the skill ecosystem approach to workforce development.

We welcomed Professor Ewart Keep from the Centre for Skills, Knowledge and Organisational Performance, University of Cardiff as keynote speaker. Other distinguished Australian researchers and workforce development specialists from industry included:

  • Jane Figgis, Director AAAJ Consulting
  • Bill Martin, Deputy Director, National Institute of Labour Studies, Flinders University
  • Kim Windsor, Windsor and Associates
  • Ian Watson, Macquarie University.

The Conference also launched Skills in Context: the Skill Ecosystem Guide to Workforce Development
